Locally grown, not flown
Our cut flower service is a small-scale, ethical flower growing project. From April to October, we grow and sell fresh, chemical-free flowers through posies, subscriptions, Pick Your Own days and workshops.
The vast majority of flowers sold in the UK are imported, often travelling thousands of miles. These flowers are typically grown in vast monocultures, treated with chemicals and stored in refrigerated warehouses and lorries before reaching you.
Garden Gate flowers are different.
Our flowers are:
- Grown right here in Margate
- Chemical-free and wildlife-friendly
- Picked fresh, in season
- Never flown or refrigerated for weeks
- Sold locally, directly from the garden
They are also grown as part of a project that supports the wellbeing, skills and confidence of adults with learning disabilities and mental health challenges.

Bring fresh and ethically grown flowers into your home, workplace or business, and support The Garden Gate Project at the same time. Hand-picked and delivered weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Subscriptions run from April to October. Delivery is mainly by bike and in Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs only.
Bunches of 15-20 seasonal stems £15 per bunch.
Pick Your Own
Step into our garden and create your own bouquet straight from the beds. Picking your own flowers is a fun, hands on way to connect with our garden and leave with flowers you've chosen yourself.
Monthly sessions in June, July and August.

Flower arranging workshops
**SOLD OUT** Discover the art of flower arranging in a relaxed setting, led by an experienced florist. We'll guide you through making a hand-tied bouquet using fresh, seasonal flowers from the garden. Monthly workshops in June, July and August
